Bundesliga: Eintracht Frankfurt to open its first football academy in the United States in 2019

Eintracht Frankfurt (Bundesliga) have signed a partnership with Global Performance Academy (GPA) to open a football school in Washington, Michigan (USA), from September 2019 announced GPA on 20/04/2018.

This partnership will begin with training camps organised by the German club for American youngsters aged 9 to 17 during the summer of 2018. The Eintracht Frankfurt Michigan Academy, whose programme will consist of training, but also classic school lessons, will include a school of 30,000 sq ft which is yet to be built within the new infrastructure.

"The soccer training will mirror what professional academies do in Germany and all training will be conducted by UEFA Pro and UEFA A licensed coaches. Academy Players will be immersed in a soccer ecosystem unlike any in North America and have a direct link to the Bundesliga," added GPA.
