Puma: Yaya Touré (Manchester City) presents the new Puma King boot, 24/11/2013

Sportswear company Puma unveiled their latest version of the Puma King boot, on the 21/11/2013. The model was worn by the Manchester City Ivorian midfielder Yaya Toure during the Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur on the 24/11/2013 (6-0 to Man City).

Puma King (black, blue and white) has TouchCELL technology which "maximises the overall performance of the player, allowing him to optimise his speed, physicality and technique," said the supplier. "This is a great boot," said Yaya Toure. "There are so many coloured boots for sale that sometimes a classic black look stands out from the rest, especially with the history that comes with Puma King."

Puma King will go on sale on the 01/12/2013.

• Puma will be represented by eight national teams during the 2014 World Cup, held in Brazil from the 12/06 to 13/07/2014:
  • four African teams: Algeria, Cameroon, Ivory Coast and Ghana
  • two European teams: Italy and Switzerland
  • two South American teams: Chile and Uruguay
• The kit supplier will be the second most present brand in Brazil, tied with Adidas and behind Nike (10 teams).
