Bundesliga: new shareholder acquires 18.55% of Eintracht Frankfurt for €15m on 23/04/2018

Freunde des Adlers GmbH has acquired an 18.55% stake in Eintracht Frankfurt Fußball AG for €15m, according to Eintracht Frankfurt (Bundesliga) on 23/04/2018. This operation values the club at €80.86m.

"Freunde des Adlers GmbH acquired 18.55% of the shares from the previous shareholder Freunde der Eintracht Frankfurt AG, which now holds 10% of the shares. The shareholding of the other two shareholders Eintracht Frankfurt e.V. (association, 67.88%) and Wolfgang Steubing AG (3.57%) remain unchanged," added the 2018 DFB Pokal finalists (see below).

"We have been able to strengthen our equity capital under excellent conditions and I am grateful to our existing shareholders and our new shareholders for placing great trust in the work of the executive board and the development of the company and thus continue to support the growth process of the company," said Oliver Frankenbach, member of the executive committee in charge of finance at Eintracht Frankfurt.
