AS Roma: Chinese investor could buy share of club

A Chinese businessman could, in the coming weeks, acquire a stake in NEEP Roma Holding, the company who own a 78% stake in AS Roma (Serie A, ITA), according to the Italian press, on the 21/11/2013

The identity of the Chinese investor is yet to be confirmed, but Italian media cite two names:
- Chen Feng, 60, founder and chairman of the HNA Group, who hold $44 billion (€32.5 billion) in assets and employ 120,000 workers (tourism, tour operator, luxury hotels, airlines, real estate, retail, finance companies). Italian bank UniCredit, who own 31% of the club, may offer him a 20% stake for €40 million.
- Wang Jianlin, 59, president of the real estate group, Dalian Wanda Group, and the richest man in the People’s Republic of China according to Forbes magazine, with a fortune estimated at $8.6 billion (€6.4 billion). Jianlin recently invested $77 million (€57 million) in the development of the Chinese Football Association.
