Europa League: final on free-TV in France, Italy, Germany and the United Kingdom, but not in Spain

The 2017-18 Europa League final, Olympique de Marseille (Ligue 1 Conforama) - Atlético de Madrid (LaLiga Santander) at the Groupama Stadium (57,084 capacity) in Lyon (FRA) on Wednesday 16/05/2018 (kick-off at 20:45 CET), will not be broadcast on free-TV in Spain, unlike the other four Top 5 European countries (see below), due to the lack of the event's inclusion in the list of events of general interest (contained in Article 20 of the Spanish General Law on audiovisual communication, in force since June 2010), which must be broadcast free-to-air.

In Spain, the final will be broadcast exclusively by the pay-TV channel beIN Sports, whose channels are distributed by local operators including Telefonica (Movistar+), Vodafone, Telecable, Deion Telecomunicaciones and Orange, and will be available via beIN Media Group's OTT offer, beIN Connect, and via TotalChannel, the OTT platform of Mediapro.

beIN Sports España is a joint venture between Mediapro and the Qatari audiovisual group beIN Media Group.
