France: agreement for the sale of AS Nancy-Lorraine (Domino's Ligue 2) to a US investment fund

"President Jacques Rousselot has found an agreement for the sale of the club to a US investment fund. This takeover will be proposed for validation to the (French professional football financial control body) DNCG (on 29/05/2018)," announced AS Nancy-Lorraine on 15/05/2018.

"The president officially announced this on Tuesday (15/05/2018), in the late afternoon to employees of the club. Jacques Rousselot will remain a director and faithful ambassador of AS Nancy-Lorrained" added the club, which finished 17^th in the 2017-18 Domino's Ligue 2 table with 38 points in 38 games (9 wins, 11 draws, and 18 losses). 17^th is the last non-relegation place, so Nancy will remain in the French second division in 2018-19.

The next president of the Nancy club should be Jean-Michel Roussier, who was president of Olympique de Marseille (Ligue 1 Conforama) from July 1995 to September 1999, according to the French regional daily L'Est Républicain on 15/05/2018.
