Hong Kong: beIN Sport acquire Euro 2016 broadcast rights

Qatari pay-TV group beIN Sport have acquired the broadcast rights in Hong Kong for TV, Internet and mobile devices for Euro 2016 (in France, from 10/06 to 10/07/2016), the company said, on the 26/11/2013.

The broadcasting rights, which were acquired from CAA Eleven, the Swiss company that have managed the commercial rights of UEFA national team competitions since 2012, cover all 51 matches of the tournament.

"We are extremely excited by the addition of UEFA Euro 2016 to our new channel in Hong Kong. Together with the Italian Serie A, French Ligue 1, English Championship and Scottish Premiership, this addition will crown our offer of top European football being broadcasted in Hong Kong," said Nasser Al-Khelaifi, president of beIN Sport.

The group launched beIN Sport 1 and beIN Sport 2 in Hong Kong, in partnership with Hong Kong's TVB Network Vision bouquet, on the 01/11/2013.
