BT Sport and News UK acquire Internet and mobile rights for highlights of European cups 2015-2018

UK pay-TV group BT Sport, and the print and digital company News UK, acquired the mobile, tablet and laptop rights for the United Kingdom, for highlights of the Champions League and Europa League for the period 2015-2018, on the 22/11/2013.

BT Sport and News UK will broadcast the highlights of 146 Champions League matches, and 205 Europa League matches each season, on mobiles, tablets, computers, and via dedicated applications.

News UK hold the Internet and mobile rights for highlights of the Premier League for the period 2013-2016. Digital subscribers to The Sun, The Times and The Sunday Times, published by News UK, can access the content for two additional pounds (€2.40) each month.

BT Sport acquired the rights to broadcast live all matches of the Champions League and Europa League for the period 2015-2018, on the 09/11/2013. A subsidiary of British telecom, BT Sport also own the TV rights for highlights of matches in these competitions, although they share these rights with free-to-air channel ITV.
