Serie A: Juventus open up closed stands to children for match against Udinese on the 01/12/2013

The FIGC (Italian Football Federation) have agreed to allow Juventus host 6,400 children aged between 6 and 13 in the north and south stands, for the match against Udinese on the 01/12/2013 (match-day 14, Serie A) indicated the club, on the 26/11/2013. The match will kick-off at 18:30 CET instead of 20:45, to allow younger fans to attend.

This follows the decision by the Disciplinary Committee of the Serie A to force Juventus to close 2 stands for territorial discrimination on the 28/10/2013. This was after repeated anti-Neapolitan chanting during the match between Juventus and Genoa (2-0 on the 27/10/2013). The ban was initially suspended, but when Juventus played Napoli (3-0 on the 10/112013), the suspension was automatically activated for new chanting of a discriminatory nature.

Tickets for the affected stands will be distributed for free to any schools that request them. The south stand will host children from football schools in the Piedmont region, and the north stand will host children from primary and secondary schools.
