"We are against exclusivity, we want to offer a product of very high quality to the largest potential audience. A channel at €25 per month for French football, this is not expensive," said Jaume Roures, president and founder of Mediapro, in Paris (FRA) on 31/05/2018.

"Ligue 1 is worth more than the operators currently pay (€726.5m per year for the 2016-2020 cycle). There is no objective reason for this championship to be last of the Top 5 leagues (alongside LaLiga, Premier League, Bundesliga, and the Serie A TIM). Our contacts with the LFP go back to at least a year and a half ago," added the Spanish leader.

"Our work will not only be to broadcast the matches. We want to work hand in hand with the League and the clubs every week to improve the product, to better work on the choice of matches according to the time slots. In Spain, we have done this work, and we improved the exposure of the championship," said Jaume Roures.
