LaLiga Santander: RCD Espanyol to invest €2.5m to modernise the club's stadium and sports city

"RCD Espanyol of Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) plans to invest more than €2.5m this summer for the improvement, modernisation and maintenance of its main facilities, the RCDE Stadium of Cornellà, El Prat de Llobregat (40,500 capacity) and Dani Jarque Sports City in Sant Adrià del Besòs (ESP)," said the Catalan club on 01/06/2018.

Work has began and includes:
• "The installation of a new hybrid pitch (natural grass containing 4% artificial fibers) and an improvement of the drainage system at the RCDE Stadium (cost: €450,000)
• The laying of a new hybrid pitch on the second pitch at the Sports City, the training ground for the men's first team (the first field is already uses the same pitch technology), which will see its spaces and infrastructure improved, training center included (cost: €450,000). The sports city will also receive a set of improvements throughout the 2018-2019 season in the framework of actions in spaces and infrastructures in the training center.
