The international audiovisual group Discovery has acquired the international rights, excluding the United States, to the North American men's professional golf tour, the PGA Tour, for the 2019-2030 cycle on 04/06/2018.

The agreement between the two entities, for a total amount of $2bn (€1.7bn) over 12 years, includes the creation of a dedicated international OTT platform, under the PGA Tour brand, and the possibility, for Discovery, to sublicense rights in more than "220 markets and territories," according to PGA Tour.

Discovery, the parent company of Eurosport, will broadcast an estimated "2000 hours of content per year, including the six Tours operating under the PGA Tour umbrella and nearly 150 tournaments annually, including The Players Championship, the FedExCup Playoffs, and the Presidents Cup on its portfolio of pay-TV and free-to-air channels, digital and short-form platforms," added PGA Tour.
