Tennis: Dubai Duty Free extends its global partnership with the WTA (Women's Tennis Association)

Dubai Duty Free, the tax-free travel retail operator at the Dubai International Airport (United Arab Emirates), has extended its partnership with the WTA on 05/06/2018. Dubai Duty Free has been a partner of the WTA since 2004. The value of the partnership is valued at several million dollars per year. Dubai Duty Free had previously extended its partnership with the WTA on 16/02/2017.

As part of the deal, the Romanian world number 1 tennis player Simona Halep and Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina have been named Dubai Duty Free ambassadors. They join Zhang Shuai ambassador for Dubai Duty Free since 16/02/2017 and Caroline Wozniacki since 20/02/2012.

Dubai Duty Free will continue to sponsor the "WTA Year-End World No.1" award as the presenting partner of the trophy awarded by the WTA to the number 1 singles and doubles players at the end of the season. This trophy is awarded as part of the BNP Paribas WTA Finals, an end-of-season tournament bringing together the best singles and doubles tennis players.
