2019 Women's World Cup: less than one year until the opening match at the Parc des Princes (FRA)

There is less than one year to go until the 2019 Women's World Cup in France which will begin with the opening match of "Les Bleues" at the Parc des Princes in Paris, France, on Friday 07/06/2019. On Saturday 08/12/2018 the French team will find out their opponents, during the draw for the final phase organised at the Seine Musical (music and performing arts centre, Boulogne-Billancourt, Hauts-de-Seine).

"A series of events were held in the host cities to mark the one-year countdown (on 07/06/2018) to the tournament. The nine cities that will be staging fixtures during France 2019 celebrated the one-year-to-go mark by unveiling unique murals specially created by street artists to reflect each city's distinctive charm. Lyon, which will host the final on 07/07/2019, got the ball rolling by showcasing the latest addition to the local art scene in the early morning, with Grenoble, Le Havre, Montpellier, Nice, Paris, Reims, Rennes and Valenciennes respectively following suit over the course of the day.
