Lega Serie A: the next Supercoppa Italiana (Juventus FC - AC Milan) will take place in Saudi Arabia

The next Supercoppa Italiana, between the 2017-18 Serie A TIM champions Juventus FC, and AC Milan, finalists of the Coppa Italia (defeated 4-0 in the final by Juventus on 09/05/2018) will be held in Saudi Arabia (Riyadh or Jeddah) between 12 and 16/01/2019, announced the Lega Serie A on 06/06/2018.

The agreement, signed in Zurich (SUI) between Marco Brunelli, CEO of Lega Serie A, and Turki bin Abdel Muhsin Al-Asheikh, president of the General Sports Authority of Saudi Arabia, provides for the organisation in Saudi Arabia of three of the next five editions of the Supercoppa Italiana.

"We are proud and pleased with the interest shown for the Suppercoppa Italiana. The response of an important market like Saudi Arabia to host this match testifies to the appeal that Italian football has around the world. The enhancement and promotion of our brand requires this type of agreement, which is necessary to encourage the arrival of new investors in our league," said Marco Brunelli.
