Twitter: 21.4 million followers in total for the 20 Serie A TIM clubs (June 2018)

The 20 clubs involved in the 2017-18 Serie A TIM season have a cumulative total of 21.4 million followers on the social network Twitter, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/06/2018. The Serie A TIM ranks third in the European Top 5 Leagues on Twitter, behind LaLiga Santander and the Premier League, with an average of 1,067,070 followers per club.

17 of the 20 Serie A TIM clubs lost followers (73,975 in total) on Twitter during May 2018. Only AS Roma (+0.2%), SPAL 2013 (+2.3%) and Benevento Calcio (+1.8%), relegated to Serie B ConTe.it at the end of the 2017-18 season saw an increase in followers.

SPAL 2013 and Benevento Calcio are the two clubs in the European Top 5 with the lowest number of followers on Twitter with 12,905 and 11,409 followers respectively on 01/06/2018.

The figures taken into account for this ranking concern only the main Twitter account of each club
