AS Roma (6th in Serie A in 2012-13) presented a shirt without a kit supplier for the 2013-14 season. The Italian club are in conflict with their former supplier, the Italian brand Kappa. The partnership, which began in 2000-01, was initially supposed to be completed by the end of the 2013-14 season.

The Roma board of directors decided to cancel the contract with Kappa on the 25/11/2012. According to the club, "serious defects were found in the technical material and the line of clothing produced by Basic Italia (distributor of the brand) for the 2012-13 season." Kappa decided to lodge a complaint against the club on the 13/05/2013 for unilateral breach of contract.

AS Roma signed with Nike for 10 seasons, on the 13/03/2013. The agreement will start in 2014-15 and is expected to bring the club €6 million per season. The 2013-14 shirt is produced by the Japanese company Asics. The club's charitable foundation "Roma Cares" is currently displayed on the front of the Roma shirt.
