FIFA: the two bids for the organisation of the 2026 World Cup designated by the FIFA Council

"Following the publication of the Bid Evaluation Report by the 2026 Bid Evaluation Task Force, the FIFA Council designated the two bids - the one jointly submitted by the Canadian Soccer Association, the Mexican Football Association and the United States Soccer Federation, as well as the one submitted by the Moroccan Football Association - to be voted on by the 68th FIFA Congress," announced international federation at the end of the FIFA Council meeting in Moscow (RUS) on 10/06/2018.

The 68th FIFA Congress, which brings together the leaders of the 211 member national federations, is scheduled in Moscow on Wednesday 13/06/2018, the eve of the opening match of the 21st World Cup (Russia - Saudi Arabia, at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow, on Thursday 14/06/2018, kick-off at 17:00 CET).

The Bid Evaluation Task Force rated Morocco's overall score 2.7 out of 5, while the US, Canada and Mexico bid received a rating of 4 out of 5.
