The South Korean car manufacturer Hyundai has become the shirt sleeve sponsor of Chelsea FC for the 2018-2022 period (four seasons) on 11/06/2018. The deal was announced by the British newspaper The Times
on 12/05/2018.

"The relationship will see Hyundai's famous logo appear on our match shirt sleeves from the beginning of the 2018/19 season in all domestic matches, from the men's and women's teams through to the academy," said the London club. Hyundai gains the status of "Global Automotive Partner", the second level in the sponsorship hierarchy. This agreement is the first concluded by Hyundai with British football club.

Hyundai succeeds the German car manufacturer Audi (2012-2015) as the automotive partner of Chelsea FC. The South Korean group also succeeds Alliance Tyres (brand of Japanese tyre manufacturer Yokohama Rubber, main shirt sponsor of Chelsea FC) as a sleeve sponsor.

Hyundai will pay Chelsea £50m (€56.8m on 11/06/2018) according to The Times, or £12.5m (€14.2m) per season, making it the most expensive sleeve sponsorship in the Premier League.
