Premier League: an average attendance of 38,273 (+6.9%) and a fill rate of 95% in 2017-18

The 20 Premier League clubs posted an average of 38,273 spectators per game during the 2017-18 season, an average increase of 2,454 spectators (+6.9%) compared to the 2016-17 season. This total makes the Premier League the second ranked European Top 5 league in terms of attendance, behind the Bundesliga (44,646 on average spectators per match).

With 74,976 spectators per game at Old Trafford (74,994 capacity), Manchester United FC were the English club with the best attendance of the Premier League in 2017-18. The club had a fill rate of over 99%, which ranks the club second in terms of attendance in the European Top 5 behind BV 09 Borussia Dortmund (79,496 spectators).

Six other English clubs - Tottenham Hotspur FC (67,495), Arsenal FC (59,323), West Ham United FC (56,881), Manchester City FC (53,812), Liverpool FC (53,049) and Newcastle FC (51,992) - were among the 18 clubs in the Top 5 that were able to draw more than 50,000 spectators on average per match.
