Germany: ARD acquire the rights to broadcast Bayern in the 2013 Club World Cup

German public broadcaster ARD has acquired the rights to broadcast Bayern Munich's (Bundesliga, GER) opening match of the 2013 Club World Cup, announced the group, on the 29/11/2013.

The competition, which takes place in Morocco from the 11 to 21/12/2013, sees the winners of the 2012-13 UEFA Champions League, directly join the competition in the semi-finals, on the 17/12/2013 at 20:30 (German time). They will play the winner of the match on the 14/12/2013 between China's Guangzhou Evergrande and Egyptians Al Ahly.

ARD acquired the rights through SportA, the media agency ARD jointly hold with ZDF, the second German public broadcaster. ARD will also broadcast the final of the FIFA Club World Cup, on the 21/12/2013, providing Bayern Munich are playing.
