FIFA: the 68th Congress approves a four-year budget (2019-2022) of $6.1bn (€5.57bn) on 13/06/2018

"After having been presented with updated financial results which show that FIFA has currently contracted more than $6.1bn (€5.18bn) in revenues - or 108% of its full-cycle budget for 2015-2018 - the FIFA Congress approved the budget for the 2019-2022 cycle, which assumes a growth in revenue to $6.56bn (€5.57bn). Of this number, 70% is already contracted," said FIFA at the end of 68th Congress in Moscow on 13/06/2018.

"The budget for expenses is $6.46bn (€5.48bn), of which 80% will be invested in football activities," added FIFA.

"The budget for the FIFA Forward Programme will be increased by $667m (€566m) to a total of $1.746bn (€1.483bn). As a result, the investment in development & education increases by 41% compared to the current cycle," explained the international federation.

With $6.1bn in revenue for the 2015-2018 cycle, FIFA will exceed their predicted revenue of $5.65bn by 8%
