Romelu Lukaku (BEL) has become ambassador of Puma, announced the Belgian international footballer and the German equipment manufacturer, on 14/06/2018, the opening day of the 2018 World Cup. The player is part of the group of 23 players selected by Belgium to participate at the World Cup in Russia, in Group G (with Panama, Tunisia and England).

This is a "long-term" partnership, according to Puma. "Romelu is not only a hugely relevant, elite player due to his outstanding goal scoring record (36 goals in 69 caps, on 15/06/2018, a record for the Belgian team). We believe he is also a role model for a new generation of football enthusiasts, and an emerging icon who has his finger on the pulse of fashion and music. We are excited to partner with him on a wide range of projects across the Puma brand," said Adam Petrick, global director of brand and marketing at Puma, on 14/06/2018.
