The 2018 World Cup Group C match France - Australia (2-1), at the Kazan Arena (45,000 capacity, Kazan, RUS), drew an average of 12.59 million viewers, with a peak audience of 14.9 million, on the free and private TV channel TF1, om Saturday, 16/06/2018 (kick-off at 12:00 CET), according to data from the audience measurement institute Médiamétrie.

This figure represented an audience share of 69% and allowed TF1 to post the best audience in the French TV market for the day on 16/06/2018.

This was the best TV audience for a France match since the Euro 2016 final France - Portugal (0-1), which drew 20.83 million viewers (audience share 72.9%) on 10/07/2016.
