LaLiga Santander: FC Barcelona to regain their commercial rights from 01/07/2018

The board of directors of FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) announced on 11/06/2018 that the club's retail, licenses and merchandising will be owned and operated by Barça Licensing and Merchandising (BLM), property of the Catalan club, from 01/07/2018.

"With this new management of such an important area of the club, a sixteen year chapter has closed, in which the merchandising rights of FC Barcelona have been managed by FCBMerchandising, a company owned by Nike," said Barça.

"This new approach pursues several objectives: greater economic profitability, direct control of the brand, the possibility of offering our fans a 100% Barça experience, and a boost to innovation and new technologies," continued the club.

"Currently, this business includes three owned stores, 15 licensed stores, 328 licensees and more than 250 employees. There are over 7,000 licensed products, and annual turnover is approximately €65m," added FC Barcelona.
