2019 Basketball World Cup: FIBA and Infront launch global licensing program in China

Infront China, the Chinese subsidiary of the Swiss sports marketing agency Infront, and FIBA Marketing (see below), have launched the global licensing program of the FIBA 2019 World Cup on 27/06/2018.

"FIBA, in collaboration with Infront China - which is responsible for the activation of licensing rights in China - is teaming up with Promotional Partners Worldwide (PPW) and Beijing Sinocraft Culture Development Co., Ltd (BSCD), to develop a wide range of merchandising products celebrating the first-ever 32-team edition of FIBA's flagship competition. Such products will include, among others, Son of Dreams, the Official Mascot for China 2019," said Infront on 27/06/2018.

PPW, which has developed the licensing programs of the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympic Games (CHN) and the 2018 FIFA World Cup, is the "master licensee" of the FIBA 2019 World Cup, and has the exclusive rights to produce and market the official products of the competition, "as well as manage retail operations," added Infront.
