British pay-TV group BT Sport has signed an agreement with British news agency sntv, on the 03/12/2013.

sntv, specialising in the production of sports video content for TV channels, will be providing BT Sport with some of the content for its various shows. sntv’s content will be integrated with BT Sport’s own material. In addition to selecting from sntv’s 24/7 HD video news output, BT Sport will work with sntv’s editorial team on additional material.

"As a new dedicated sports network we need breadth of coverage and sntv gives us this," said Steve Norris, Head of Sports Rights of BT Sport, on the 03/12/2013.

BT Sport acquired the rights to broadcast live all matches of the Champions League and Europa League for the period 2015-2018, on the 09/11/2013. A subsidiary of British telecom, BT Sport also own the TV rights for highlights of matches in these competitions, although they share these rights with free-to-air channel ITV.

  • sntv is a joint venture of media rights agency IMG Media and international news agency The Associated Press.
