EBU: Tony Hall (BBC) and Delphine Ernotte Cunci elected president and vice-president from 2019

Tony Hall, managing director of the British public broadcasting group the BBC, and Delphine Ernotte Cunci, president of the French public broadcasting group France Télévisions, have been elected by "absolute majority", and will become president and vice-president respectively of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), announced the EBU on 29/06/2018.

The two leaders will take up their new duties for a two-year term on 01/01/2019, and will replace Jean-Paul Philippot (CEO of RTBF), and Monica Maggioni (president of RAI), "who have served as president and vice-president for ten years and three years respectively," added the EBU.

The EBU is the largest public media service alliance in the world. It has 73 members in 56 European countries, as well as 33 affiliates elsewhere throughout the world.
