Eurosport and Bundesliga extend their partnership until 2017 in 22 European countries

Pay-TV channel Eurosport has extended its broadcasting and sub-licensing rights to the Bundesliga, Germany's top division, for two additional season, for 22 countries in Nordic, Central and Eastern Europe, on the 04/12/2013.

The agreement with DFL Sports Enterprises GmbH (the company that manages the media and commercial rights of the DFL, the German professional football league) sees Eurosport holds the rights to broadcast or sub-license all Bundesliga and 2.Bundesliga (Germany's second division) matches, until the end of the 2016-17 season.

The broadcasting rights cover television, Internet and mobile devices. All live Bundesliga action will also be available in the licensed territories on the Eurosport Player, the group's online subscriber simulcast service for mobile, PC, tablet and connected TV users.

Since 2009, Eurosport 2 has been broadcasting live and in HD, in those 22 countries, five Bundesliga games per weekend, a weekly highlights programme, dedicated magazine shows as well as interviews and expert insight from consultants.
