Lega Serie A: "extreme concern" about decree-law which prohibits advertising to betting companies

"The Lega Serie A follows with extreme concern the process of adopting the 'Dignity Decree-Law' and the impact on Italian football of rules that prohibit advertising to betting companies," stated the Italian Professional Football League on 03/07/2018.

This decree-law, called "urgent measures for the dignity of workers and enterprises", adopted in the Council of Ministers on 02/07/2018, contains, in Title III, provisions designed to combat gambling addiction: any form of direct or indirect advertising for games or money-saving bets is prohibited, with the exception of the national lottery.
