Licensing: UEFA wants to create commercial spaces under club competition branding in 2018-2021

"UEFA has the pleasure to announce that it is inviting proposals from suitably qualified suppliers, ideally with experience working with sports properties, in relation to the creation of UEFA club competition (UEFA Champions League and Europa League) branded experiential initiatives and fan hubs around the world. The club competition licensing rights will apply for the 2018-2021 cycle," announced the European football governing body on 04/07/2018.

UEFA's concepts are as follows (non-exhaustive list):
• "Food and beverage outlets (cafes, restaurants)
• Match viewing events
• Interactive centres
• Entertainment centres
• Theme parks."

The Swiss agency TEAM Marketing manages the centralised marketing of audiovisual rights, sponsoring, and licensing of club competitions organised by UEFA, from 1992 until 2021 (option until 2024).
