LaLiga Santander: Girona FC gains the exclusive operation rights of the Estadi Montilivi until 2068

Girona FC (LaLiga Santander) has signed an agreement with the Girona City Council which grants the club the exclusive operating rights of the Estadi Montilivi (13,500 capacity), where the Catalan club plays its home games, for 50 years (until 2068), on 22/06/2018.

Throughout the duration of the agreement, Girona FC will pay an annual fee of approximately €197,000 which will be entirely dedicated to the improvement of the premises, for a total of approximately €9.85m over 50 years, according to Spanish media, who added that the club will have the opportunity to sell the stadium naming rights, as long as the name of the City of Girona and Montilivi are kept in its name.

"This agreement is a growth opportunity that will allow us to continue to move forward and we will be able to further strengthen the relationship between the club and its region," said Delfín Geli, president of Girona FC.
