Premier League: €157m in shirt sponsorship revenue generated in 2013-14

The 20 Premier League clubs generate €157m of shirt sponsorship revenue for the 2013-14 season, indicated the "European Jersey 2013-14" study conducted by the sports marketing agency Repucom, which was published on the 29/11/2013.

Manchester United (Aon) and Liverpool FC (Standard Chartered) record the highest revenue in shirt sponsorship with €23.4m each. Manchester City (Etihad Airways, €22.2m), Arsenal FC (Fly Emirates, €21m) and Chelsea (Samsung, €21m) follow them.

"Not only have the clubs in the bottom half of the league table maintained relatively high shirt revenue deals this season, but we now see five clubs generating over €20m each in shirt sponsorship per year, something which is not matched by any other league in the world", said Andrew Walsh, Director of Enterprise Services at Repucom.

In Germany, the 18 Bundesliga clubs have a combined shirt sponsorship revenue of €127.8m in 2013-14, up 6.7% compared to the previous season (€119.8m). Bayern Munich (Deutsche Telekom) top the ranking with €27m, ahead of Schalke 04 (Gazprom, €15m) and VfL Wolfsburg (Volkswagen, €12m). On…
