NBA: Sacramento Kings to install cryptocurrency mining machines at the Golden 1 Center

The Sacramento Kings, in partnership with MiningStore.com, a company specialised in cryptocurrency transactions, will "install cryptocurrency mining machines" at the Golden 1 Center (17,608 capacity), said the NBA franchise on 06/27/2018. "The Kings are the first team in the world to mine digital currency."

"The Kings will deploy MiningStore 'Imperium' model machines that will mine Ethereum cryptocurrency. Ethereum is a public, open-sourced Blockchain-based platform. These mining machines will verify other coin user transactions by solving complex mathematical problems, resulting in a share of the transaction returning to the 'MiningForGood' programme," said the franchise.
