Serie A: Parma Calcio 1913 acquires its Collecchio training centre for €3.21m

"Parma Calcio 1913 (promoted to the Serie A for the 2018-19 season) has paid the full amount for the acquisition of the Collecchio (a town about 10km from Parma) sports center, the final condition necessary for the definitive acquisition of the asset," announced the Emilia-Romagna club on 06/07/2018. The value of the transaction amounts to €3.21m.

Following the bankruptcy of "Parma FC" (the name of the club at the time) and the company Eventi Sporti, owner of the club and the Collecchio sports center, in March 2015, the sale of the latter was entrusted by the Italian courts to a legal administrator. The Parma Club had a right of priority for the purchase of the infrastructure it had hitherto held as a tenant, provided that it agreed with the administrator on the transfer price. Parma Calcio 1913 was finally provisionally given ownership of its training center on 09/05/2018, following its last financial offer of €3.21m, a sum of which the club was ordered to pay within 60 days.
