France: Paris Basketball, a new pro club in Paris supported by the City, Federation and Pro League

Paris Basketball, the name of the new professional basketball club supported by the City of Paris (FRA), was presented at the Paris City Hall by Jean-François Martins (FRA), Deputy Mayor of Paris in charge of Sport, Tourism, and the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and David Kahn (USA), president of Paris Basketball Investments, on 12/07/2018.

The project is managed by Paris Basketball Investments whose principal owner is Eric Schwartz (USA), based in New York (USA) and a former minority shareholder of the Atlanta Hawks NBA franchise.

Paris Basketball will evolve in Pro B from the 2018 season, following the acquisition of sports rights club Hyères-Toulon Var Basket by Paris Basketball Investments. Hyères-Toulon Var Basketball dropped out of the professional world of basketball following its relegation of Jeep Elite Pro B at the end of the 2017-18 season.
