UK/Ireland: Eleven Sports acquires Serie A TV rights and partners with IMG

The British audiovisual group Eleven Sports has acquired exclusive broadcasting rights to the Serie A, for the United Kingdom and Ireland, from the media rights and marketing agency IMG, for the 2018-2021 cycle on 13/07/2018.

On the same day the group announced a partnership with IMG for the launch of its two channels Eleven Sports 1 and 2 via an online streaming platform, in the United Kingdom and Ireland, in August 2018. IMG takes a minority stake in these two new channels.

Eleven Sports also acquired the broadcasting rights to LaLiga Santander for the United Kingdom and Ireland for the 2018-2021 cycle, on 02/05/2018.
