Bundesliga: record turnover of €140m (+29.3%) for Eintracht Frankfurt in 2017-18

Eintracht Frankfurt (Bundesliga) posted a record turnover of €140m during the 2017-18 financial year (from 01/07/2017 to 30/06/2018), up 29.3% compared to the 2016-17 financial year (€110.7m), according to the German club on 13/07/2018.

"Eintracht Frankfurt is doing better than ever in terms of economic efficiency and the club's development is continuing at a high level. Turnover has increased steadily since 2014-15 (€88m at the time) and should cross the €150m mark in the coming season (2018-19)," said the club.

"Personnel costs have increased steadily over the past five seasons, by around 65% in total (from €31m to €51m). The investment in the acquisition of players were also higher than ever during the 2017-18 season (€30m). The participation in the 2018-19 Europa League group stage should bring about €15m in revenue, a figure similar to the amount gained thanks to the club's extremely successful run in the 2018 DFB-Pokal," said Oliver Frankenbach, member of the executive committee in charge of finance at Eintracht Frankfurt.
