AS Roma: "over 100,000 fans" watch the first match of a Serie A club to be broadcast on Twitter

AS Roma (Serie A) have become "the first Serie A club to broadcast an entire match live on Twitter (social network)," said the club on 14/07/2018. The pre-season friendly versus Latina Calcio 1932 (Serie D, Italian fourth division) - AS Roma (0-9) played at the Stade Domenico Francioni (6,850 capacity, Latina, ITA) was watched live by "over 100,000 fans" via the Twitter account of the Italian club, who each saw an average of eight minutes of the match.

"Earlier this week it was revealed that Roma's official accounts (1.65 million Twitter followers) generated more interactions on the Twitter platform in June than any other team in Italy, with the club also registering the highest engagement rate of the Top 10 clubs in Europe," added the Italian club.
