"The LaLiga-AFE (Association of Spanish Footballers) Joint Commission have confirmed that only one player reported their club over non-payment of wages in the 2017-18 season. Since Javier Tebas became the president of LaLiga during the 2012-13 campaign, the number of complaints brought by players over non-payment of wages has gone from 153 to just one last season," announced the Spanish professional football league on 17/07/2018.

"This statistic is evidence that the LaLiga president's targets are being met. Another of these targets involves reducing the debt that the clubs owe to the Spanish Tax Agency (AEAT) and, according to the LaLiga Financial Report for the 2016/17 season, this debt has been slashed from €650m to just €96m (-85.2%) in the last four seasons," added the league.
