Spain: FC Barcelona - Sevilla FC, 2018 Supercopa de España in Tangier (MAR), on 12/08/2018 (22:00)

The 2018 Supercopa de España will be played at the Stade Ibn Battouta in Tangier, northern Morocco, on Sunday 12/08/2018 (kick-off at 21:00 local time, 22:00 CET), announced the Spanish Federation, on 07/22/2018.

The XXIII Supercopa de España will pit Barcelona FC (LaLiga Santander), the 2017-18 Spanish champions, versus Sevilla FC (LaLiga Santander), finalists of the 2017-18 Copa del Rey (defeated 5-0 in the final by FC Barcelona, at the Wanda Metropolitano de Madrid, 21/04/2018).

This is the first time that the Supercopa de España will be disputed by a single match, after a decision by the RFEF on 09/07/2018. "An exceptional decision taken for reasons of timing and so as not to harm the first matchday of LaLiga Santander (18/08/2018)," said Luis Rubiales, president of the Federation.

This is also the first time that the competition has been organised outside of Spain. "The Stade Ibn Battouta is a modern venue, inaugurated on 26/04/2011, and can accommodate 45,000 spectators," said the RFEF.
