Italy: Sky signs agreement with Perform for its customers to have access to DAZN at a reduced rate

The pay-TV group Sky Italia has announced that it has reached an agreement with Perform, a UK-based group specialised in the production and distribution of sports content on digital platforms, which allows Sky customers access to Perform's OTT sports platform DAZN for a reduced rate, on 23/07/2018.

DAZN will not be included in Sky's subscription package. Sky customers will be able to access it via a 4K (Sky Q) box, or directly on OTT, "in mid-August", by buying "tickets". "Ticket prices will be announced in mid-August, but we can already predict that the one-month ticket will cost €7.99 rather than €9.99," said Sky. DAZN will be marketed at €9.99 per month without commitment in Italy.

Perform acquired, for its platform DAZN, the rights to broadcast 114 of the 380 Serie A games (three per matchday, see below), in Italy, over the 2018-2021 cycle, on 13/06/2018, as well as the broadcasting rights of all 472 games per season, including 428 exclusive Serie BKT matches, during the same period, on 29/06/2018.
