Spain: RFEF General Assembly approves a 2018 projected budget of more than €170m

The General Assembly of the RFEF has approved (107 votes for, 0 against and 8 abstentions) the 2017 accounts which show a profit of €8.2m (versus a deficit of €10.5m in 2016) and voted for a projected budget of over €170m for the year 2018 (112 votes for, 0 against and 6 abstentions), according to the Spanish Federation at the end of the assembly held at "La Ciudad del Fútbol" in Las Rozas, near Madrid (ESP) on 24/07/2018.

In 2017, the Spanish Federation posted a turnover of €159m, €20m more than in 2016. "€30m of the 2018 budget is intended for amateur football and grassroots football," said the RFEF.

In the presence of FIFA president Gianni Infantino (SUI-ITA) and UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin (SVN), the RFEF, chaired by Luis Rubiales since 17/05/2018, approved the competition calendar for the 2018-19 LaLiga Santander season (document available to download) and updated various actions, particularly in the area of women's football promotion, integrity and good governance.
