eSports: Werder Bremen launches its team on the FIFA game with Wiesenhof as a shirt sponsor

SV Werder Bremen (Bundesliga) has launched its eSports team on the EA Sports FIFA video game, announced the club on 24/07/2018. The club formalized the signing of its first eSports player, Mohammed "MoAubameyang" Harkous, on 25/07/2018.

"In the beginning, Werder will also work closely with Stark eSports to build on the agency's many years of experience, and in addition to strategic support and knowledge transfer, Stark will also help the club to manage its teams and social networks. Werder has also launched its social network accounts dedicated to eSports on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook," said the club on 24/07/2018.

Wiesenhof, a German brand specializing in butchery and frozen products, is extending its partnership with the club (see below). Its Bruzzler grill brand becomes the main sponsor of the eSports team. This contract extension was negotiated by Infront Sports & Media, Werder's exclusive marketing agency until the end of 2028-29.
