Bundesliga: Borussia Dortmund and Puma inaugurate the "wall of love"

German kit supplier Puma and Borussia Dortmund (Bundesliga) inaugurated the "wall of love" before the official club shop at the Signal Iduna Park (80,500 seats), on the 05/12/2013.

A black iron gate has been made available to Dortmund fans to hang padlocks on. They can inscribe their "declaration of love" for the 2012-13 Champions League finalists on the locks. The initiative was launched on the anniversary of the sixth season of Jurgen Klopp as coach of the club. "This kind of thing is unique in the Bundesliga. I guess in a few weeks, people will be fighting to find a free space," said Jurgen Klopp.

The limited edition padlocks (1,909 locks, referring to the year in which the club was founded, on the 19/12/1909) have been given out alongside the purchase of Dortmund's "winter shirt" in different outlets of the club since the 06/12/2013.

  • Puma are under contract with Dortmund until the end of the 2019-20 season. The annual grant is estimated at €7 million.
