Olympique Lyonnais: a record turnover of €289.5m in 2017-18 (+15.8%, €250m in 2016-17)

OL Groupe, the holding company of Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1 Conforama), achieved a record turnover of €289.5m for the 2017-18 fiscal year (from 01/07/2017 to 30/06/2018), up €39.5m (+15.8%) year-on-year (€250m for the 2016-17 season), the group announced on 25/07/2018. These figures are not definitive, however, as they still have to be audited.

Excluding player trading, which reached a record amount of €125.3m (including €50.1m generated by the transfer of Alexandre Lacazette to Arsenal FC, Premier League, on 05/07/2017), the figure of total business amounted to €164.2m (-€34.1m, or -17% compared to 2016-17).

Ticketing revenue (€37.3m, -15%) and TV rights (€65.2m, -34%) were down, mainly due to the absence of the club in the Champions League in 2017-18, unlike the previous season in which OL had participated in the group stage. Partnership and advertising revenue (€30.1m, +4%) and brand revenue (€16m, -7%) are stable, while "events" (seminars, conventions, stadium tours, concerts, etc.) experienced strong growth at €15.6m (+70%).
