"The regulations for the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup France 2018 (held in Brittany from 05 to 24/08/2018) regulate the rights, duties and responsibilities of all associations taking part in the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup France 2018 and of the Organising Association by forming an integral part of the Hosting Agreement. The regulations and all guidelines and circulars issued by FIFA are binding for all parties participating and involved in the preparation, organisation and hosting of the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup France 2018," said FIFA in "General Provisions" (page 1 article 6) of the regulations which "were approved by the FIFA Council in October 2017 and came into force immediately thereafter."

• Upper age limit: all players must be a maximum of 20 years old by the end of the calendar year in which the competition is played (i.e. all players of the teams were born on or after 01/01/1998).
