Italy: the City of Milan approves a €15m development plan for the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza

The City of Milan (ITA) has approved an extraordinary works plan of €15m for the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza (78,328 capacity, also referred to as the San Siro), shared by FC Internazionale Milano and AC Milan for their home games in the Serie A TIM, on 24/07/2018.

The work, which should be completed in June 2020, will include, a change of pitch, a renewal of the lighting systems at the stadium entrances, the construction of an operations center for the Police, the waterproofing of lower stands, renovation of electrical installations and all VIP spaces, a new museum and the increase of commercial spaces, "intended to allow the stadium to remain an example of one of the highest international standards," explained the City of Milan.
