Serie A TIM: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts of the 20 clubs (August 2018)

The 20 clubs involved in the 2018-19 Serie A TIM season have nearly 89 million fans on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/08/2018. The Serie A TIM is the third most popular European Top 5 league on these three social networks, behind LaLiga Santander and the Premier League, with an average of more than 6.7 million fans per club.

Juventus FC, who recruited Cristiano Ronaldo (transfer officially announced on 10/07/2018, presentation of the player, on 16/07/2018) from Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander), posts more than 1.7 million likes on Facebook (+5.3%) and 146,265 on Twitter (+2.4%), compared to on 01/07/2018.

With more than 54 million fans on the three social networks, Juventus are the most popular Italian club ahead of AC Milan (36 million) and FC Internazionale Milano (13.69 million).

13 of the 20 Serie A TIM clubs saw a decrease in Twitter followers compared to on 01/07/2018, and eight saw a decrease in likes on Facebook. This decrease can be partly explained by a clean-up operation carried out by the two social networks…
