LaLiga Santander: Getafe CF creates a professional eSports section in partnership with Esportia

Getafe CF (LaLiga Santander) has created a professional eSports section, in partnership with the company Esportia, which specialises in the professionalisation of eSports, announced the Spanish club on 01/08/2018.

"The club has agreed with Esportia, a specialist in the sector, to compete on the League of Legends, Clash Royale, Rocket League, and FIFA games, and many clubs have decided to enter the world of football eSports and, after a year of intense work to prepare our section, we join them," said Getafe CF.

"This is a way of connecting with new generations, competing in the virtual world, so Getafe wants to be the reference for gamers in the Community of Madrid," said the club which is 13 kilometers south of Madrid.
